Gloria was introduced to TJA through Grace Flight of America. Gloria was referred to M.D. Anderson Cancer Center (MDACC) in Ho
uston, TX in July, 2010, after numerous hospitalizations due to complications with the treatment and diagnosis of antiphospholipid syndrome and lupus, along with several other ailments that threaten her life. Although insurance covers the cost of treatment, it doesn’t provide for transportation and hotel accommodations, and without help, Gloria would not be able to receive the specialized treatment she needed to fight her cancer. TJA was very instrumental in providing transportation for Gloria and after several trips back and forth, the crew developed a special bond with this amazing lady who seemed to always beat the odds and never give up fighting. TJA was amazed at Gloria’s strength of heart and awarded her the TJA Holiday Grant to help with medical and hotel bills. “My family and I are grateful to Grant and TJA who donate their time, planes and money to assist her and other medical patients. I consider them “angels” and thank God daily for their generosity,” says Gloria.
